On the 3rd of September, 2015, which was a public holiday in Hong Kong, the Dawah Commitee of the Kowloon Masjid and Islamic Centre held an Open Day at the Kowloon Masjid from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm for the general public. For this event, the Dawah Commitee was well-prepared for the Open Day with guided Masjid tours, brief informative talks on Islam, a calligraphy section, a try-out-the-hijab section, books on Islam section...etc. Around 400 people attended the Open Day and the responses were enthusiastic. Most participants mentioned how the Open Day was successful in enhancing their understanding of Islam, even with some non-Muslims mentioning the need of the Masjid to hold more Open Days so that the curious general public could know more about Islam.
