We at FOPHK (Friends of Palestine in HK) are requesting your help in our pursuit ofshowing Muslims in Hong Kong’s solidarity to our brothers and sisters in Palestine.
This Sunday, 27th July, 2014, FOPHK along with various Non-Muslim Humanitarian organizations such as Socialist Action, Refugee Union, Amnesty International, Globalization Monitor and Hong Kong Federation of Students Union are going to hold a protest and a march to the Israeli Consulate to condemn the war crimes the government is carrying out on civilians in Palestine.
We plan to gather at around 2pm at Southern Playground, Wan Chai in sha Allah. After addressing the crowd, we will march towards the Israeli Consulate with banners, posters, slogans and chants letting them know that Hong Kong community is truly upset, disgusted and horrified by the massacre and continuous onslaught which has taken nearly 800 people’s lives amongst babies and children.
We are requesting you to make announcements at Jummah Khutbah and other prayer times to let the public know and to encourage them to join the event in order to put more pressure on the Israeli Consulate, the Hong Kong government and to raise awareness.
We truly hope you will join us in this event and help us to just pass the message to the large Muslim community of Hong Kong. We also hope you will post our flyer in your notice board so that people will know.
